~ Blood Drive 5/16  7am-1pm will be run by the new board.

9. Principal’s Report: Dr. Alan Baum, Principal      
~EOY very busy with all the joyful moments at WMHS      
~Great success at Music in the Park      
~ Many student awards of achievements      
~Working hard on 017-18 schedules

~ all PTA must change to a new webpage company
         ~ passwords for WiFi given to Presidents for easy use for functions
         ~ Elem class sizes are at optimum levels, lookin for parents to join district                Committees
         ~ Cheryl Pedisich’s contract has been extended till 2020
         ~ Bond work being finished throughout the district
         ~ TVTA Hurricane relief fundraiser

       ~Working on tables & banners for homecoming
       ~Working on dates for Town Hall like meeting

  9. Principal’s Report: Dr. Alan Baum, Principal
      ~ Welcome 017-18 school year “best first day opener”
      ~Thank you to Mrs. DiBella for her hard work with the scheduling.
      ~ Looks forward to an open forum between the school and the parents/community always available contact them through email they try to     respond within 24 hrs.
      ~ Grateful for the flag display for Patriot Day 9/11 Remembrance Day
      ~ Be involved in your kids everyday lives beware of social media remind them to  “Think before you Send”       Roseanne DiBella, Asst Principal
     ~ Reflection given on 9/11 by Dr Baum was very heartfelt
     ~ Guidance staff has been working tirelessly doing a terrific job fixing students schedules. The staff are being very flexible with the changes.

~ Open House 9/26 7pm   follow A Day              -Parent Drug/Alcohol Awareness discussion 6:15-6:45pm              -College Planning Night 12th gr 6:15-6:45pm
     ~ Patriot Pride Day 10/5 Workshops & speakers throughout the day, students can sign up for activities/speakers starting 9/25      ~ Pep Rally 10/6 at the end of the day with Homecoming 10/7
     ~ Club & Activity brochure is online over 45 different clubs to join              -Some clubs will be running fundraisers for hurricane relief

~ Encourages all parents to go to the Drug/Alcohol awareness discussion run by our new drug & alcohol counselor Heather Reilly before open house 9/26

2017/18 Proposed Joint Council voted yes as a council to pass  2017/18 $4,811.29
Voted on at WMHS 9/11 meeting  members voted Yes    
WMHS PTSA 2017/18 Budget passes by member vote at 9/11 meeting current balance $6,304.86  $
4 of every $15 membership goes to NYPTA
